Shipping & Warm Weather

Orders placed after 12 pm EST, will be shipped from Lore's in Philadelphia on the following business day. We do not ship on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays to ensure minimal time in transit.

During July and August, the weather can be too hot and a little unpredictable. To maintain the highest quality of our products, we suspend shipping during this time. Shipping normally resumes in September.

We keep an eye on the temperature year-round. If the temperature is predicted to be above 70 degrees (outside of July and August), we'll ship your chocolates on ice to make sure they arrive in perfect condition. Ice packs included with your shipment are intended to melt in transit, maintaining a safe and suitable temperature for chocolate.

Chocolate Care

To keep your Lore’s chocolate tasting its absolute best, try to avoid extreme temperature swings. Too warm, and the chocolate can melt. Too cold, and the chocolate will bloom, leaving the surface texture slightly powdery and off-colored. So don’t refrigerate.

If this happens, however, don’t worry—your chocolate is still perfectly fine to eat. It’ll just look different and may feel less silky as it melts in your mouth.

Allergy Information

Our products are manufactured in a facility that uses peanuts, tree nuts, soy, wheat, milk, and eggs. To ensure product quality, please keep chocolates stored in a cool place at or below 68˚F.

Accessing Lore’s Chocolate Shop involves a few stairs. If stairs are difficult for you, we encourage you to place your order by phone or online for our convenient curbside pick-up service. Upon your arrival, simply give us a call at 215-627-3233, xt 4, and we'll be more than happy to bring your order out to you curbside.
